The “Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary” Basilica from Cacica, Suceava county, is a Roman-Catholic church, built in 1904 by the Polish community from the village. It is erected in New Gothic style, after a project brought from Poland. The Basilica is 40 meters long, 23 meters wide and its tower-bell is 50 meters high.
In 2000, as an acknowledgment of its importance, the Basilica received, from the Pope Joan Paul the IInd, the title of Basilica Minor.
