The memorial house „Matei Corvin” is located in Cluj-Napoca and it is one of the oldest buildings in town. It is the only palace built between tho eras: Gothic and Renaissance, in the XV century.

Here lived the wife of Szilágyi Erzsébet, the wife of Iancu of Hunedoara, when they came in Cluj. In 1443 here was born a boy who at the age of 17 became the King of Hungary.

In 1467, Matei Corvin suspended the fees of the house he was born in. The house is built in Gothic style and it was modified in time.

Nowadays, it belongs to the University of Arts and Design.
