The Tudor Arghezi Museum from Targu Carbunesti was created in 2007. The museum exhibits family and personal objects of the great Romanian poet, Tudor Arghezi. These objects were donated to The “Alexandru Stefulescu” Gorj County Museum by the poet`s daughter, Mitzura.
Tudor Arghezi had Gorj county roots through his grandfather, Theodor Carbunescu, and this is why this museum brings an homage to one of the most important Romanian poets.
The Museum is situated in the center of Targu Carbunesti and can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9,00 – 17,00. The vising fee is 3 lei for adults and 1.5 lei for children or students.
