The Water Castle from Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti county, was inaugurated in 1914. It is a symbol of the city and is also known by the locals as the ” Eiffel tower”, because of its construction. In the present, it is also known as the Arts Castle and is visited daily by almost 300 persons that love to see the view of the city from up high.
The Arts Castle was recently restored with European funding and reopened to the public.
