The Jidava Roman Castrum is located in Campulung, Arges county. The Castrum is part of the fortified area Limes Transalutanus. The Castrum was built between 190 – 211, during the Emperors Commodus and Septimius Severus. The archaeological research from the Castrum revealed coins from the reign of the Emperor Gordian the IIIrd, spear tops, clay vessels, hooks and big nails.
