The Şatra (Tent) monastery took the name after Pintea the Brave when he established the camp in the mountain. The establishment is a monk monastery but only the preaching priest lives there.
The Şatra (Tent) monastery was built in 1990 by the priest Ioan Cosma from Stoiceni-Dumbrava parish for the revolution’s martyrs. The monastery worship “Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen”. The church is built with bricks and has a Latin cross shape. The chapels oily picture was started by an anonymous painter and finished by Mircea and Florea brothers from Şatra (Tent) monastery.
Nearby the church can be visited the Well of Pintea and hermitage Şatra (Tent) (built in 1996) which has a wooden church and a chapel. Both landmarks are linked to Pintea the Brave which had one of his residences nearby.
