Sucevita Monastery is 18 kilometers from the city of Radauti, Suceava county. It was built on the valley of Sucevita river, between hills, in 1581 by the Boyar Gheorghe Movila. It is dedicated to the ”Resurrection of Jesus” and is included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
From the architectural view of point, the monastery combines Byzantine and Gothic elements, with elements specific to Moldavian wooden churches. The mural painting has a great artistic value.
