The “Documaci Mound” Tumuli Complex is situated only a few kilometers outside Mangalia, Constanta county. It was researched in the summer of 1993 by archaeologists from “Callatis” Archaeology Museum. The tomb discovered while digging is one of the most important sights from the region and is formed by the funerary room and a 9.55 meters hallway. The construction was made in the 4th century B. Ch. by the Greek settlers in two phases – first, the funerary room and a part of the dromos (access hallway) were built and second, the dromos was elongated with a roof.
