The Buila-Vanturarita National Park covers the localities of Costesti, Barbatesti and Baile Olanesti, from the western part of the Bistrita Gorges until the eastern part of the Olanesti Gorges. It is the smallest national park from Romania.
The Buila-Vanturarita National Park has a surface of 4,186 hectares and hosts various forms of land, such as: narrow gorges, caves, grottoes, waterfalls, steep peaks, etc. This great relief offers the Park a unique natural heritage, with important species of animals like the black goat, the deer or the badger. The Park also has species of trees and plants protected by the law, like spruce trees or beech trees.
