Traian`s Bridge is located in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Romania. The monument is part of the Iron Gates Museum. The bridge was built during 103-105, over the Danube; its purpose was to allow the leader Traian to invade easier Dacia.
At the beginning, the construction was formed from 20 pylons, it had 19 m height and 14.5 m width; nowadays, the remains are formed from only one pylon. The bridge has a supra-structure made of wood, but it was destroyed during the third century, when Hadrian removed his troops from this province.
In this area, the Danube`bed has over 1 km height.
