The Wooden Church Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel from Rogoz, Maramures county, was built in 1663 and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The edifice was built after the Huns invasion from 1661, event which is evoked on an inscription at the entrance. It is a church that has a rich architectural style, unlike the most of the churches from Maramures and every structural element plays also a decorating role, both on the inside and on the outside of the church.
