Dealu monastery is supposed to be built by the descendants of Prince Vlad Dracul of Wallachia, the ruler who was killed in 1446.

The sanctuary was built in 1431, while the Prince Alexandru Aldea was fighting for certain territories.

The most valuable aspect is that during the World War I, the head of Prince Michael was wrapped in cloth and taken into secret places, but in 1920, the king of all Romanians, Ferdinand, brought it back to the Dealu monastery.
The monastery is near Targoviste, in Dambovita County.
