It is an homage to the Mountain Soldiers, the Romanian Army and to all the heroes that fought in the First World War. It was created by the architect Theodor Burca, is 16 meters high and has the shape of a belfry. At its base, the monument has two bass reliefs made of bronze, one representing a winged woman and the other one an eagle.
