The ”Aureliu Sacerdoteanu” Valcea County Museum is situated in Valcea county. It was founded in 1952 and comprises 8 departments, such as: The History-Archaeology Museum, The Art Museum, The Village Museum from Bujoreni and memorial houses.

Its main headquarter is in the city of Ramnicu Valcea, where is the History-Archaeology Museum, in a building which is declared a historic monument.

The museum is opened from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9,00 – 17,00 (winter schedule) and from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10,00 – 18,00 (summer schedule). It is closed on Mondays.
