The Romanescu Park is situated in Craiova, Dolj county. The Park is located in the southern part of the city and is also known as The Bibescu Park, because it is placed on a land bought by Craiova City Hall in 1853 from Iancu Bibescu. The building of the park started in 1897 and it was inaugurated in 1903 in the presence of King Carol The Ist.

It is the largest park from Craiova and is declared a natural historic monument. The park has a surface of 9.6 hectares and has, besides the trees and flowers spaces, a large lake, a racing track, alleys, The Elevated Bridge, The Magic Castle, etc.

The Romanescu Park is considered the largest natural park from eastern Europe.
