Floresti Monastery is located in Poienesti commune, Vaslui county. It was built around 1590 and rebuilt between 1686 – 1694. It is dedicated to ”Saint Ilie”, who is celebrated on July, 20th. The Monastery is well-known for its miracle-making ”Saint from Floresti” Icon, which represents the Holy Virgin with baby Jesus in her hands.

It is a historic monument.
